Tram operators need to be able to work without more than normal supervision and be able to coordinate tram operations with other drivers. The tram operation transports hundreds of park visitors to the beach each shift and operators need to be able to function appropriately and be able to communicate effectively in stressful and emergency situations should they arise. (65%).Other duties include providing visitor orientation and information on tram schedules and operations; providing visitors with a safety briefing regarding riding on, loading, and unloading the trams; providing visitors with beach and surf condition information, and providing visitors with information regarding park activities and resources. (30%).This position will also be responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance (check fluid levels, clean vehicle, check air/tires, etc.) which contributes to supporting the daily operation of trams and trailers, and safe transportation of park visitors.
