Take this opportunity to showcase your exceptional organizational skills!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will respond to questions from employees and the public about vehicle safety and emissions inspections, ensuring that accurate information is provided and regulations are followed. Your duties will include overseeing compliance with state laws, approving leave requests, and conducting performance evaluations for staff. You will also review and approve applications for inspection stations, manage case files in the Vehicle Inspection Information Database (VIID), and supervise workloads to ensure timely approvals. The role requires establishing operational procedures, preparing reports, and analyzing data for trends that may need further investigation. Collaboration with MVPS3 and Program Analysts is essential to identify system issues and ensure that upgrades do not disrupt services. You will manage information related to businesses involved in safety and emissions inspections, maintain a database of station activities linked to audits and operational changes, and keep staff informed about program updates. Promoting a culture of safety is crucial, as is addressing unsafe practices immediately. Safety should be integrated into all discussions, with ongoing communication about safety goals.
