Job Title:Snowmaker /Mountain Operations Department: Mountain Operations/Grounds Reports to: Director of Mountain Operations The Snowmaker / Grounds Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and manage the snowmaking crew and grounds maintenance staff, ensuring efficient snow production, grounds keeping, snow removal, and trail maintenance. This role includes supervisory responsibilities as well as hands-on work and requires flexibility to work during peak seasons, including weekends and holidays. What's in it for me:

  • Implements work tasks for the day.
  • Ensures all staff are working in a safe manner and using applicable PPE's
  • Ensure proper tools and supplies are gathered for the day and put away when completed.
  • Communicates to the snowmaking manager any needs for the department.
  • Assists in all tasks required of the Snowmaking Manager.
  • Hands on work with teams and manager.
  • Develops and actively, and effectively, uses Service Guidelines and Checklists.
  • Develops safe work practices for their department.
  • Moves and positions equipment, snow guns, and hoses.
  • Starts and stops snow guns per the snowmaking plan.
  • Works safely around high-pressure water and compressed air pipelines
  • Navigates steep, snowy, and icy slopes continually throughout the shift.
  • Digging and shoveling snow as needed and assisting other departments as needed.
  • During off-season duties are similar across several varied jobs: snowmaking maintenance, grounds maintenance, mountain construction, and water park set-up and tear down.
  • Adhering to the Customer Service Standards of Camelback Resort as well as all Company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Leadership, problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
  • Technical skills and understanding a plus.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with the work schedule.
  • During peak seasons, the schedule may require a work week schedule over 40 hours per week, including nights.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our guests.
  • Ability to work in a fun, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to speak and read the English language, additional languages a plus.
