Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Project Coordinator, the Mover responds to departmental moving needs including: assembly and set-up of furniture; picks-up and delivers furniture, appliances, and supplies; safely uses appropriate moving equipment and safe lifting techniques; and operates cube moving van. Performs maintenance and cleaning of storage rooms, some small equipment maintenance, and snow removal. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High School education or GED diploma, or education sufficient to provide adequate skills in math, reading, and problem solving and ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift and carry 100 lbs. required. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and ability to perform safe lifting techniques and safe use of furniture moving equipment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be capable of driving a large cube van. Must submit to a driver's license background check prior to hire.

Anticipated Pay Range $18.75/hr - $21.60/hr Other Information Special Conditions Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, 40 hour work week, Bargaining Unit Position - United Electrical Workers, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required FLSA Non-Exempt Union Position Yes, UE ($18.25 minimum hourly rate)
