Do you have a passion to support First Responders in our community by building Resilience?Community Concepts is seeking aFirst Responder Wellness Coordinatorto serve as a single point of contact for individuals and families in the first responder/public safety community that were impacted by the mass violence event. The Maine Resiliency Center was developed in the aftermath of the mass shooting event in Lewiston, ME, on October 25th, 2023. The Center provides resources and support to those impacted by this mass violence event. This position is a temporary position, up to 23 months, with the possibility of an extension.Starting Range:$24.00-$26.00 depending on education and experienceEssential Duties:Identify and coordinate support services, trainings, and workshops to enhance first responder wellness.Serve as a liaison to first responders/public safety departments.Provide direct support to impacted individuals and families and facilitate access to community resources.Assist in daily center activities/operations in include providing group and one on one support for individuals and families (including children), receiving new guests and support in completing needs assessments, and be in attendance at center events on sire and in the community.Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, short and long-term disability, accident, critical illness & hospital indemnityPaid Time Off (up to 18 days/year for full-time employees)13 paid holidays per year403(b) pension plan with agency matchCommunity Concepts is a qualified employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) programDesired Qualifications :High School Diploma/G.E.D requiredHigher education in social work or related field preferredMinimum of three years of related experience preferredExperience in public safety a plusOther Requirements:Experience working with populations who have experienced trauma and understanding of trauma-informed approach. Significant understanding of the culture and needs of the first responders/public safety community.
