Under the direction of the MRI Supervisor, the primary purpose is to perform a variety of duties that will require some independent judgment, transcription, patient assistance, receptionist duties, and skill to provide assistance to the MRI Department. The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable about MRI and MRI Safety; have experience in MRI Scheduling; and/or be a student currently enrolled in an MRI program.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR is required
- 1 to 2 years of position related experience is required.
- Type of experience includes:
- Good working knowledge of anatomy, pathology, medical terminology, application software, contrast indications and contraindications.
- Working knowledge of all MRI examinations, exam preps, and other information pertinent to placing orders and verifying appropriateness.
- Understanding of MRI safety precautions.
