Job Description:
We are seeking an MRI Technician who must perform all tasks as required by the coordinator and lead staff. The technician will prepare equipment and supplies for specific procedures and ensure patients' physical and psychological comfort. Maintains specific inventory records and ensures the area is stocked with adequate supplies. Coordinates the schedule of daily exams and any additional responsibilities as needed.Duties:Position the patient on the examining table and place the specified coil (receiver) such as a head coil or knee coil close to the area of interest, following protocols requested by the Radiologist.Demonstrate the use of a microphone that allows the patient and technologist to communicate during the examination.Enter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry into the aperture of MRI equipment into the computer.Key commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers in the computer.Observe the patient through the window of the control room and on closed circuit TV to monitor safety and comfort.View images of areas being scanned on the video display screen to ensure the quality of pictures.Key in data on the keyboard of the camera to photograph images.Alert staff entering the magnet room to the danger of wearing or carrying metal around a magnet.Other duties as assigned.Skills & Qualifications:1-3 years experience as an MRI Technician.Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.Ability to read and interpret documents.Ability to work independently.Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Program.NJ State RT License.MR Certified.BLS Certification.XPDEL, Inc. is committed to an inclusive workplace that#J-18808-Ljbffr
