Job Title: MRI TechnologistLocation: Marietta, GAShift: VariableShifts per week: 3Hours per shift: 12Job Description:The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment, prepare patients for imaging, and ensure the production of high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols.Responsibilities:Conduct MRI scans in accordance with physician orders. Ensure high-quality images are produced for accurate diagnosis and interpretation.Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and addressing any concerns. Verify patient identification and assess for contraindications such as metal implants or pacemakers.Operate MRI scanners and other related equipment, adjusting settings based on patient size, anatomy, and specific exam requirements. Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions.Ensure all safety standards are met, including MRI safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure patient and staff safety in the MRI suite. Screen patients for any contraindications to MRI.Accurately record patient information, procedures performed, and scan details. Maintain documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure imaging is performed efficiently and in a timely manner.Provide instructions to patients after the procedure as necessary and assist them with any post-procedure concerns.Certification:American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Required Minimum Experience:1 year of MRI experience is preferred, but new graduates with clinical training in MRI will be considered.
