We value compassion, excellence, and unity as we achieve our vision of setting the standard of excellence for patient-centered, high-quality care.Position SummaryThe MRI Technologist position is responsible for the safe and compliant operation of X-ray technologies to produce digital images that help doctors diagnose and treat diseases and injuries.Primary Functions & AccountabilitiesPrepare patients for MRI procedures and follow established procedures for patient care and safetyProtect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards.Obtain quality MRI's of patients in an acceptable timeframe; Process and accurately digitize images with correct patient dataPrepare examination rooms for MRI proceduresReview each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all imagesEnsure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulationsComply with radiation safety guidelines and operates radiographic equipment safelyDemonstrate willingness to assist in additional duties as requiredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust be able to provide a high level of patient care in a professional and courteous mannerGood knowledge of anatomy/pathologyAbility to operate radiation producing equipmentMust possess initiative and work well with a team.Growth and leadership potential for successful candidatesPosition Requirements2+ years of MRI Technologist experience preferredCurrent Virginia Radiologic Technologist License requiredARRT Certification requiredThis organization participates in E-Verify.
