Job Summary As an MRI Technologist PRN at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in operating a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.Responsibilities and Requirements Prepare and position patients accurately to produce high-quality images.Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.Enter and monitor patient data and transfer images.Administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS.Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Education and Experience Associate's degree or completion of a radiology or MRI certification program.No experience required.Physical Requirements Constant standing and walking.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent lifting/moving of patients.Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Rare kneeling and sitting.Required Professional License and/or Certifications Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Work Environment Variable Shift (United States of America).Job Type Employee.Department 420####### MRI.Scheduled Weekly Hours 0.SSM Health is an equal opportunity employer.
