Ametek, Inc.Job description: Position SummaryThe Assembler – MRO Repair Cell Deparment- will enable company success by performing duties to assemble, paint, inspect and test a variety of designs and sizes of fractional horsepower fans, blowers and modules, including wiring connections and assembly of electrical & mechanical subcomponents.Soldering – Circuit board and box soldering, including electro-mechanical assembly.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssemble final fan, blower & module products from electrical and mechanical subcomponents following drawings, work instructions and in-process inspection requirements.Perform a wide range of tasks to assemble a fan, blower & module. Tasks include, but not limited to: operation of equipment to assemble mechanical subcomponents (ie: balancing operation), magnetizing, soldering wires/components, circuit boards, box soldering, encapsulation and part inspection.Interpreting part drawings, allowing for improvement discussions with technical support groups (i.e. Process Engineering, Quality, Design Engineering).Participates with teams to solve department area problems.Measure parts using basic measuring tools (i.e. ruler, calipers). Basic Math skills. Algebra a plus for test (equipment set-up and comprehension).Maintains established standards of quality, productivity & attendance.Records information or data describing work performed or defects found.Conduct product testing and performance testing including recording of results.Follows all safety policies and procedures, including required Personal Protective Equipment for the respective job being performed.Responsible for both the success of the individual and the team.Works overtime as required (mandatory at times) by the business & performs other related tasks as assigned.Reqiured Skills and AbilitiesDriven and self-motivated.Effective verbal and written communicator.Flexible/adaptable in a changing environment.Ability to take constructive feedback on opportunities / gaps in knowledge / skill set.Displays good judgement – quality & safety.Manufacturing experience and Soldering experience a plus.Ability to learn and apply new skillsEducation and ExperienceHigh School degree, GED Certificate and equivalent experience (On the Job Training)Physical RequirementsProlong periods of standing,Repetitive bending, squatting and twistingAbility to lift up to 20lbs is requiredStandard Company Responsibilities:Take responsibility for understanding the Business Management System and how it is applied to the role.Adhere to Health and Safety requirements always.There is a responsibility on all employees to bring to the attention of their manager any issues that could potentially affect the business, regardless of how small they may seem at the time.All duties within this job description should be carried out in line with any Company policies and procedures in place at the time.
