Job Summary:This role will function as a GM over a small but rapidly growing business unit within the company. You will effectively manage this unit as a small business owner from front to back.Including all P&L, business development, team building, contract implementation, and so on.The first 12 - 18 months in the role will involve securing, initiating, and implementing DOD contracts for ongoing maintenance services.Once that side of the business settles, you will evolve into the Business Unit Leader overseeing all operations of this business unit within the company.Position Summary: The Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the MRO service provided by the department and is the first line of contact with new and current customers. The MRO GM is responsible for identifying new opportunities, responding to solicitations, interpreting customer requirements, negotiations, and ensuring delivery of product. Provide leadership and establish and maintain sales and service initiatives for the department.Position responsibilities:- Maintain a skilled workforce through timely coaching and feedback, cross-training, and employee development. Identify training and personal development action plans. Resolve personnel issues in a timely, effective manner and in accordance with company values expectations. - Grow sales business through marketing and selling services to adjacent project/product lines and customers.- Oversee the processing of all RFQs and RFPs, facilitates and ensure timely response to customer to satisfy customer orders.- Understand customer requirements and negotiate agreements in alignment with company sales objectives.- Develop sales leads and follow-up with customers on sales opportunities to meet company growth goals.- Serve as the customer service contact.- Oversee the process for delivering customer orders in accordance with contract/order requirements.- Maintain and expand database of prospects.- Cultivate long term customer relationships with depot supply centers and other key customers.- Work with engineering team and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of electronic products.Essential skills and experience:- Customer centric with strong communication skills.- Highly motivated, self-directed, with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, professionalism, and superior attention to detail.- General understanding of operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, test engineering, and quality systems.- General understanding of contractual agreements (DoD contracting a plus)- General understanding of electronic products assembly structure and basic print reading abilities.- Commitment to company values and a strong team player.- Must be willing to travel (roughly 40% in the first year, less after established)Qualifications Include:- Bachelor's degree- 5+ years of directly related to MRO business, DoD Electronics market preferred (Or military experience)- US citizens Only.Base salary Expected: $100 -$120k (negotiable for the right candidate) 5-10% bonus based on performance.
