Position Role Type:OnsiteThe MRO Machinist II is responsible for assessing, welding, repairing, testing and documenting repair material in an FAA regulated environment. They will participate in high-level technical work with little or no instruction.
This is a 2nd shift position with the following hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00-11:30 PM. Position includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus.WHAT YOU WILL DO:- MRO Repair Center Machining
- Capable of set-ups, inspections, blueprint reading, and production/repair processes.
- Set up machines to perform operations within its capability by positioning, aligning, securing work, utilizing, and adapting appropriate tools.
- Demonstrate the analytical skills that are necessary for machine adjustments and performing the machining process.
- Demonstrate proper use of inspection equipment including indicators, micrometers, calipers, and surface plates.
- Inspect and certify own work.
- Work independent with minimal support for problem solving.
- Perform daily, quarterly, annual PM on equipment.
- Read prints and follow assembly instruction.
- Be independent and have good problem-solving skills.
- Effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.
- Stay focused on safety and quality.
- Be highly motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:- Typically requires a HS Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:- Two-year machinist/tooling degree or 2 years CNC machining experience or a combination of experience and machining education.
- 2+ years of Haas/CNC Mill operation and setup experience.
- Manual Machining/Milling/Turning experience.
- Haas Mill programming experience.
- Gibbs CAM Mill programming experience.
