Responsibilities: We are seeking a new graduate student to study Great Lakes fish ecology as part of the research requirements for an MS degree in Biology. The incoming student would start Fall 2025. Their research project will evaluate the relative contributions of different sources of production (streams and hatcheries) to the Lake Michigan coho salmon fishery, and how contributions vary spatially and seasonally. Specific tasks will include the field collections of smolts utilizing stream electrofishing techniques, microchemical analysis of otoliths, statistical analysis of data, and co-authorship of reports and manuscripts. Qualification: A bachelor's degree or equivalent; a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 overall in a biological science major; three professional references.
