Job Description:

Fully Funded Ph.D. Position Available for Spring/Fall 2025! Are you passionate about 'sustainable and robust AI hardware acceleration'? If the answer is yes, then we have a fully funded Ph.D. opportunity available at the Next-Generation Dependable and Sustainable Computing Technologies (GENIUS) Laboratory. Please read the following paper to get a heads-up on the project.

Ayesha Siddique, and Khaza Anuarul Hoque. Moving Target Defense Through Approximation for Low Power Neuromorphic Edge Intelligence. IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems (TCAD), 2023.

Successful candidates will receive financial support as Research/Teaching Assistants (RAs/TAs) and be awarded a full tuition waiver with health insurance benefits. Candidates with expertise in the following areas are especially encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

1. A good academic background (B.Sc./M.Sc. in CS/CSE/EE). A relevant research/publication is good plus.

2. Knowledge/Experience in designing AI hardware. An adequate mathematical background for modeling them (good to have a mathematical background but not mandatory).

3. Strong programming skills (C/C++, Python) are required. A good understanding of machine learning, large language models, and explainable AI is a (huge) plus.
