Location: Tyler,TX, USA
* Organizes, assigns, and coordinates the technical maintenance work and installation services provide by internal mechanics and outside contractors. Supervises the regular and routine maintenance of all building systems and components.
* Supervises and trains assigned personnel, assigns specific tasks and reviews the results. Monitors work site and ensures proper workplace standards and protocols are being followed.
* Prepares estimates of time, labor and materials and prepares bills of materials. Ensures that assigned projects adhere to time and cost estimates. Communicates any scheduling, deadlines issues or problems to supervisors and building occupants.
* Prepares requisitions and obtains materials needed to complete assigned projects. Ensures cost effective use of materials allocated.
* Supervises and trains assigned personnel; assigns specific tasks and evaluates results. Participates in performance evaluations and recommends areas for individual training and development.
* Ensures staff operates equipment in its proper fashion, including all power and hand tools.
* Responds to emergency work request and building emergencies, such as fires, water main ruptures and personnel stuck in elevators.
* Six years progressively responsible experience in the trade(s) where assigned to include at least two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
* Possess a practical working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices, hydraulics and mechanics as related to the types of equipment and systems which are in the buildings under their supervision.
Preference: Experience in a higher education setting.
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

Valid Maryland Non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver's license may be required. Candidates selected for employment may be required to be trained to work with asbestos.
