The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. The base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway is $115-130K k/year & benefits (see below).

Job Title: Mulesoft Engineer with Flex Gateway

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Our challenge

We are seeking a talented Mulesoft Engineer with expertise in Flex Gateway to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing API solutions that drive business value. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and secure data exchange.

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop APIs using Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, focusing on Flex Gateway.
  • Implement API security measures, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Manage API traffic through rate limiting and routing configurations.
  • Handle certificate management, including TLS and MTLS configurations.
  • Ensure adherence to API specification standards, such as RAML and OpenAPI Specification (OAS).
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and manage APIs in a Linux environment.
  • Write scripts to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Use GitHub for version control and collaboration on API development.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Mulesoft Anypoint Platform and Flex Gateway.
  • Strong knowledge of API management (APIM) gateway concepts.
  • Experience with security protocols, including TLS and MTLS.
  • Familiarity with API specification standards (RAML and OAS).
  • Proficient in Linux and shell scripting.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in Mulesoft or API management.
  • Experience in a cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and integration patterns.
