Johnsonite by Tarkett is looking to add a Multi-Craft Class II associate to our team. This position is a midnight shift (10:48 PM-7AM) will require some weekend shifts and overtime (as needed).Starting Salary $27.19-$35.48 (based on experience) with a shift premium of $1.50 per hour worked.$2000 Sign on bonus in 4 installments of $500 at 3,6,9,and 12 Months.Benefits start one the first of the month following the 60th day of employment.The Multi-Craft Class II position requires comprehensive knowledge, education, and department experience while demonstrating leadership abilities within the maintenance department. The position is tied to continuing education and learning different trades to continue to enhance technical competence within the department.ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Read and understand technical information or data points; demonstrate solid mathematical skillsHigh voltage to low voltage installation maintenanceTrouble shoot machines; installs controllers and counters and AC-DC motor controlOrder new or replacement maintenance parts following Tarkett ordering processingRepair and build guards using gas welding/cutting and milling machinesMaintain fire protection systemUse pipe threading machine to cut and thread pipe; make die changes to threader,Knowledgeable of high and low pressure systemsRebuild valves, cylinders, pumps, air tools and paint spray gunsTrouble shoot hydraulic systems, including repair or replacement of hydraulic valves and pumps, replace or repair broken gear boxes, re-engineer problem machines, design changes done to equipment, change and make knife blades, knowledge of riggingWeld molds and make guide pins for molds; make and repair hinges and heat platinumService tow motors and electric forklifts which includes maintaining battery charges, belts, horns, lights, wiring, tires, and hosesMaintain or repair the boiler/compressor, roof, and HVAC systemsStart various pumps, compressors, blowers, chillers, presses to ensure production can begin at any given timeMay be assigned duties included in other trade classificationsMust be responsible for observing all safety rules and regulationsTools and equipment utilized but not limited to: welding equipment, cutting equipment, standard hand tools, pneumatic/power tools, drill press, milling machine, lathe, hoists, forklift, hydraulic lift tables, basic carpenter tools, metal shearer, basic mechanical tools, man lift, electric meters/PLCREQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)High School diploma or equivalentTrade or Technical College certificate/diploma or at least 5 years related experience in a manufacturing plant environmentWillingness to attend classes and/or seminars on new technology or maintenance related skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritizeAbility to work flexible hours in a 24/7 manufacturing operationExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with various personality typesAbility to participate on teams in safety, quality, and process improvement.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPerform work within maintenance department based on business needs.
