Your Role
As a Multi-CraftMaintenanceTechnician,you will be responsible for all aspects ofmechanical and electrical maintenanceatourChester, ILfacility. This includestroubleshooting automation equipment and sensors (PLCs), industrial electric systems, motors, bearings,gears and other systems and componentsat this highly automated, state-of-the art facility.

Your Responsibilities:
- Safety and Food Safety-Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. Engage in safety training and proactive safety behavior.Help maintain, update, and enforce procedures for the plant, and ensure that yourself and others are always choosing to execute work with safety and food safety at the forefront of all decisions and actions. Responsible for establishment and adherence to FoodSafety andQuality,and SafetyMaintenancepolicies in procedures in collaboration with theother workgroups.
- Predictive PreventativeMaintenance-Perform advancedmechanical tasks and troubleshootingon any and all mechanical and electrical equipmentduring regular operations, downtime andpreventative maintenance schedules at the facility.Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, electrical control, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, milling and material handling equipment, grain elevator and other various machinery. Assess and perform daily PM tasks.Maintain alltools/equipment and execute processesin the 5S, Pristine AMPS standards using process tools such as Centerline, 5S, understanding loss through 5why to create continuous improvement process by determining Root Cause and Corrective Actions.
- Administrative- Drive effective communication and documentation in support of daily operationsand maintenance needs. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure scheduling of activity and coordination of work. Work as expected in varying technologies and computer applications. Enter work order details as needed and independently make decisions safely in support of production and repairs. Inventory equipment and tools and consume parts as appropriate.
- Sanitation- Maintain sanitation standardsand clean work areas, ensure thorough and impeccable cleaning is done prior to closing out the maintenance work being performed.
- Project Work-Assist in project work as needed.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalentwith a minimum of5yearsofcombinedmechanical and electrical maintenanceexperience in an industrial environmentorMechanical/Electrical Maintenance Associates degree with a minimum of 2 years'combined mechanical and electricalexperience in a maintenance role in an industrial environment
- Basic skills with varyingcomputer applications, to include Microsoft Office Suite,CMMSor other Productionor Maintenancetechnology with the ability to quickly learn and use new technology
- Demonstrated experience performing maintenance activities to include but not limited to: Predictive and Preventative technologies, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems), maintenance processes, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), equipment/energy isolation, RCA (Root Cause Failure Analysis)
- Demonstrated Safety Champion Behaviors
Good to Have:
- Continued Education to include; Associates Degree, Technical or Trade certifications, Apprentice program hours, or Training and Education specifictoElectrical and/or Maintenance
- Mill Productionor Food Productionexperience, to include working knowledge of Food Safety requirements and procedures
Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat,hearing protection and, at times, a respirator)
- Ability to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:
- Heat/Cold temperatures (inclement weather)
- Indoor/Outdoor environment
- Dusty environment(to include Wheat/Gluten allergens)
- Noisy environment
- Frequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processes
- Elevated Places
- Ability to perform work safely which may require:
- Frequently standing, walking, rotating,bending/stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, balancing and reachingor lifting at varying heights and levels
- Frequentlyclimbing stairs and/or ladders
- Occasionally lifting, shovelingand/or carryingup to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally pushing and/or pulling
- Working in confined or elevated places
Other Considerations:
- Must be able to read, interpret instruction and technology and communicate effectively in English.
- Must have willingness for continued education, training and development inMaintenancePractices and Programs (to include other department operations), to include infrequent scheduled travel to training or other Ardent Mills Locations.
- Maintenance standard schedule will be days,that said,you mustbe willing to work alongsidethe broaderteam including long days, or varying shifts (days, evenings, and nights) as well as overtime,weekend or holiday work.
- This role requires you to complete a pre-interview candidate assessment to be considered for interview and will be a factor in consideration for offer.
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
