Job DescriptionDEPARTMENT: MaintenanceJOB TITLE: Multi-Craft TechnicianREPORTS TO: The Team Leader following the directions of the Reliability & Maintenance Manager SHIFT DAYS/HOURS:3-days on/3-days off- 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. FOR CONSIDERATION, PLEASE ATTACH A RESUMEWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi-Craft Technician to join our team in the aluminum manufacturing industry. As a Multi-Craft Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our manufacturing equipment, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing downtime. This is a challenging position that requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. What You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques. Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, as needed.
  • Maintain documentation for existing and new equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts.
  • Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, electrical/mechanical problems on machinery.
  • Interface with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to determine problems and make appropriate repairs.
  • Install and service a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical, communications and process control systems.
  • Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment.
  • Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
What You Will Need:
  • High school diploma or GED. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
    • OR
  • 3-5 years related work experience.
  • Experience with industrial, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and management.
  • Ability to work individually or in a team situation.
  • Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.
