Job DescriptionPotters is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ongoing maintenance, upkeep, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Operates and conducts all processes in a safe manner and with HSE rules and regulations;

Ability to perform job functions of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician I & II as needed;

Performs repairs and routine maintenance on glass furnace specific plant equipment;

Performs repairs and maintenance on Distributor, Forehearth, and Firebox area equipment;

Ability to complete Specialized fabrication as required;

Troubleshoots, repairs and replaces VFDs as needed;

Operates in compliance with all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations;

Performs regulatory inspections and maintenance of equipment and documents such as assigned per regulatory requirements;

Participates in plant wide HSE, quality and productivity initiatives;

Voluntarily participation on the Safety Team on a rotating basis;

Participates in HSE improvement activities (Toolbox meetings, Behavioral Based Safety (BBS), hazard ID's, near misses, safety;

Communicates, promotes and personally demonstrates Safety/Health (including the HSE Essentials) as the #1 priority;

Completes HSE training requirements for the job timely;

Demonstrates commitment to HSE Essentials in everyday activities;

Follow plant safety rules and wear required PPE;

Report all injuries, illnesses, or incidents immediately or as soon as it's safe to do so;

Come to work Fit for Duty and be focused on working safely;

Understand and support Potters Essentials Behavioral and Operational Principals;

Practice good housekeeping and assist with other housekeeping tasks as directed;

Performs other duties as directed.

Education: Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma/GED Desired Level: Instrumentation and Electromechanical Technical School Degree, Journeyman Metal fabrication or Equivalent ExperienceExperience:

10-15 years experience in maintenance or metal fabrication in a Glass Container Furnace Plant

3 to 5 years forklift operations and/or certification preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

Experience in plant safety systems such as Confined Space entry, Hot Work permitting and Lockout/Tagout of industrial;

Basic skills in areas of industrial instrumentation and electomechanical equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repairs, instrument calibration, running conduit, terminating wires, reading drawings, pipe fitting, metal fabrication (including welding), and proper use of mechanical tools.

Ability to use computer - basic computer skills

Detail and Organizational Skills

Training Certification/Registrations:

Forklift certification preferred
