Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Multifamily Estimator to join our team and lead our negotiated work estimating efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and a proven track record of success in negotiated work estimating.Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, focusing on negotiated work
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine scope and requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project details and negotiate costs
  • Prepare and present comprehensive cost proposals for negotiated work projects
  • Conduct quantity takeoffs and develop accurate material, labor, and equipment costs
  • Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
  • Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to project execution
  • Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and construction methods
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in MULTIFAMILY construction estimating, with a focus on negotiated work
  • Proven track record of successful cost estimating for large-scale commercial projects
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Timberline, WinEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
