Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Multifamily Estimator to join our team and lead our negotiated work estimating efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and a proven track record of success in negotiated work estimating.Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, focusing on negotiated work
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine scope and requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project details and negotiate costs
- Prepare and present comprehensive cost proposals for negotiated work projects
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and develop accurate material, labor, and equipment costs
- Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to project execution
- Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and construction methods
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MULTIFAMILY construction estimating, with a focus on negotiated work
- Proven track record of successful cost estimating for large-scale commercial projects
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Timberline, WinEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
