Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in multifamily construction to lead complex, large-scale projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing ground-up multifamily developments, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
- Oversee all phases of multifamily construction projects, from pre-construction planning to final turnover.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work, ensuring alignment with company and client goals.
- Lead project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal staff, to achieve project milestones.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and resolving issues proactively.
- Facilitate meetings with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Budget & Cost Management:
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, tracking costs and implementing cost-control measures.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
- Conduct financial analyses to ensure project profitability and mitigate cost overruns.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Enforce adherence to project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with approved plans.
- Identify and address potential risks or issues to maintain project quality and timelines.
- Team Development:
- Mentor and support project management staff, fostering professional growth and team cohesion.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring team members have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
- Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on multifamily developments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) and scheduling tools.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and multifamily building systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-density, mixed-use, or luxury multifamily projects.
- LEED certification or familiarity with sustainable building practices.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
