Job Description:
OVERVIEW: The Multimedia Content Creator has a passion for producing, editing, and promoting videos and photos to enhance MarineMax and our portfolio of brands. They work on media production requests and campaigns from all areas of the organization to generate results and increase awareness.The ideal candidate thinks differently, innovates, and generates new creative solutions by capturing boat and yacht content at stores, events, and more. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Editing short-form and long-form videos and photography until the requested specifications are met, and then deliver the final products through appropriate channels.
  • Collaborate closely with the creative team to comprehend and bring to life the narrative vision. Ensure that each video conveys the intended message, paying close attention to brand and style guidelines and how they are reflected in video and motion.
  • Daily tasks also include producing and editing media, graphic design, and content management.
  • Capturing video and/or photography of products, events, boat shows, store locations, team members, and customers through use of DSLR camera, mobile device (iOS preferred), and Drone/UAV.
  • Preparing and planning project logistics for upcoming shoots.
  • Contributing to or independently preparing outline/script or storyboards and conceptualizing creative projects.
  • Collaborate with MarineMax Marketing team on strategies for using video and photo on social media and across the web to drive engagement and growth across channels.
  • Cataloging and organizing footage and files in an easy-to-find manner for the marketing team.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, meeting deadlines and deliverables in a timely, professional manner in fast-paced environment.
  • Uploading video content and final product across internal and external platforms.
  • Sourcing and purchasing music/audio tracks, stock footage, and voiceovers while ensuring correct rights for usage.
  • Creation of motion graphics to be used in video content including lower-thirds, title/copy animation, informational callouts, etc.
  • YouTube channel management and optimization.
  • Working with team members on video best practices for completing promotional videos and YouTube uploads.
  • Boost company morale and engagement by providing photography and videography at corporate and overall MarineMax team member events.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders and partners.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for special projects and events.
  • Support and work on all other tasks deemed necessary to the team's success.
KEY RESULTS:
  • Generate increased traffic and interaction for MarineMax, our brands, and partners by creating quality, dynamic video and photo content.
  • Drive new/additional social media subscribers, views, watch time, and overall traffic through innovative photo and video content.
  • Educate the MarineMax field with information and best practices to generate their own quality content to assist the customer decision-making process.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects.
SKILLS:
  • Proven experience as a video editor and photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing broadcast editing expertise, photography, and motion graphics skills in a B2C, and/or retail setting (marine industry a plus).
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, film, art or design or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in drone/UAV photo/video (UAV FAA Certification a plus)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud with an emphasis in Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Proficient in vertical reels/shorts format of social content.
