Overview Since 1979, Insight for Living (IFL) has been committed to excellence in teaching the study and application of God's Word. Pastor Chuck Swindoll and his wife, Cynthia, began the ministry by broadcasting Pastor Chuck's Bible-teaching program, Insight for Living, on 18 stations. Today, the program airs on more than 2,000 stations, can be streamed through various online channels, and can be heard in 70 countries and eight languages. We also produce quality Bible-study resources, have a dynamic online presence, provide pastoral counseling, and actively walk alongside listeners through life's challenges. As a ministry, we're committed to Vision 195, our strategic mission to pursue Jesus' Great Commission by extending God's grace and making disciples in all 195 countries and their 6,875 heart languages. In addition to our international headquarters in Frisco, Texas, we currently have ministry offices in 10 countries, where our pastors translate resources, train church leaders to use Pastor Chuck's Searching the Scriptures Bible-study methods, serve their communities, and pursue Vision 195 in their languages. Position Summary The role of the multimedia specialist is to help create, evaluate, moderate, and deliver visual and audio content in support of IFL and ministry outreaches. The multimedia specialist will help fulfill all forms of pre-production, production, and post-production to support the ministry and various outreaches of the ministry. The multimedia specialist has a responsibility to bear the fruit of the Spirit and to accurately express the ministry's beliefs and values in all interactions with constituents, staff members, and vendors. Core Job Functions Video Production (50%)
  • Concepts video messaging and assists in the steps to produce excellent visual and audio content for various ministry departments/outreaches
  • Creates video content that includes necessary processes for pre-production (scripting, storyboarding, etc.), production (set design, lighting, camera operation, etc.), and post-production (color correction, audio cleaning, sequence editing, etc.)
  • Researches and implements necessary hardware equipment and software to advance long-term video production goals
  • Works with team members to capture video/audio material in studio and field shoots
  • Works under the direction and priorities established by director of multimedia and the senior vice president (SVP) of Living Bridge Media
Digital Media Moderation and Video Marketing (15%)
  • Assists in distributing, managing, and moderating video content on video distribution platforms (Vimeo, YouTube, social media)
  • Helps audit and critique video content on social media, ensuring channels are distributing videos in an excellent manner
  • Ensures excellent and appealing captions are used, graphics in each video are appropriate per platform, video titles generate interest, and appropriate calls-to-action are included
  • Offers ideas on optimizing processes for video production and video distribution
Equipment, Hardware, and Software (15%)
  • Helps ensure the Living Bridge Media space is clean, functional, and organized
  • Helps keep equipment functional, ready for use, organized, and relevant
  • Offers ideas for new A/V products to purchase to enhance production quality
  • Keeps hardware inventory updated and recommends removing/selling obsolete equipment
  • Provides ideas for integrating excellent video technologies to enhance production and post-production
Audio Editing (5%)
  • Assists SVP and audio personnel with broadcast editing as needed
  • Cleans podcast audio as needed
Professional Development (5%)
  • Commits to the challenges of growth and development according to the Professional Development Plan
  • Pursues the designated knowledge and/or experience with a positive attitude
  • Completes assigned tasks with excellence and in a timely manner
Team Member Contribution (10%)
  • Models IFL's core values through daily conduct
  • Exerts initiative and drive to improve departmental and organizational operations
  • Owns problems, creates solutions, and maintains personal accountability for results
Position Specifications Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a media production or marketing specialty OR an accomplished portfolio with 2 or more years of production and post-production experience
  • Prior experience in production (set design, lighting, camera operation, etc.) and post-production
  • Skilled proficiency with video shooting (studio and field)
  • Ability to creatively envision internal client needs and develop a working strategy that incorporates the internal client's desires for visual/auditory products while balancing the needs of other departments
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask
  • Humble, professional, flexible, teachable, positive attitude, and able to work well with a team
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
  • Motion graphic creation/proficiency in Adobe After Effects, preferred
  • Current knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, preferred
  • Working knowledge of Asana and Canto, preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
