Provides technical support for audio, video, and classroomequipment, including integrated and interactive video classrooms. Providesfirst level support for security camera systems throughout campus. Coordinateswith campus constituents with the planning of new audio/video hardwareinstallations. Serves as technical resource responsible for all phases of themultimedia classrooms.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists customers in the identification ofappropriate multimedia technologies, writing of specifications, productevaluations, price quotations, purchasing equipment, effectiveness ofequipment, and training to effectively operate multimedia systems.
  • Serves as the key resource and consultant formultimedia technology to customer by providing educational presentationson applications and proper usage of technology and being actively involvedwith cross-unit project teams.
  • Ensures the quality of daily operations in themultimedia classrooms remains highby assisting with the scheduling ofrepair and maintenance, producing usage statistics, evaluating services, andmaking recommendations for growth and reallocation of resources whenneeded.
  • Serves as a point-of-contact for telephone andemail access to multimedia classroom services to include taking equipmentmaintenance requests, being the first line of support, and routing callsto other resources.Coordinates andensures working order of equipment and operates equipment for specialcampus events.Assists faculty,staff, and departments in the identification of problems related to themultimedia classrooms.
  • Ensures accurate equipment inventory records.Performs other duties as assigned
  • Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree from an accreditedcollege or university or equivalent and a minimum of two years relatedexperience and/or training. Directly related experience may be substituted forthe education requirement on a year-for-year basis.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent customer relations skills for face-to-face coordination
    • Ability to maintain high customer satisfaction
    • Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations
    • Proven ability to multi-task
    • Proficient in modern classroom technology diagnostics & analysis
    • Strong work ethic and be a self-starter able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced environment
    • Telephone customer relations skills and experience
    Preferred QualificationsCrestron Digital Media DesignerCertification. Active Audio/Video certifications.
