Reporting to the President, with leadership responsibility for 11 Branch locations, this role focuses on:
Customer Experience
- Establish and lead a culture emphasized on Customer Service.
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to identify operational capacity, potential sales opportunities and improving our cost to serve.
Employee Experience
- Identify current and future talent needs and development opportunities.
- Provide clear expectations and visible leadership to our Branch Managers and their teams.
- Actively coach and mentor branch leaders
- Lead employee engagement activities, actively seek feedback and own action items to support employee retention and communication.
- Champion a pay for performance culture
- Lead change management efforts throughout the organization.
Branch Operations
- Assess warehouse and delivery operations and develop strategies that support the most efficient footprint and customer delivery model.
- Define, communicate and establish accountability for KPI's that measure and deliver results.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate on annual P&L budgets and regularly monitor progress.
- Review, assess and implement appropriate system tools to support the operations.
- Ensure accuracy and accountability for inventory control & warehouse layout.
Project Management
- Lead and implement business projects.
Safety
- In partnership with the HR team, lead and support a Safety Culture across the organization.
Here is what we are looking for...
Requirements:
- 10+ years management experience
- 5+ Years combined experience in Customer Service and Logistics/Warehouse
- 5+ Years of leading teams in a multi-site environment.
- Experience with financial budgeting and managing a P&L
- Project Management Experience
- Clean driving record
- Travel 70% to our Branch locations with some occasional overnight stays.
Preferred:
- Experience in a Lean Environment, leading Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Six Sigma Designation
- WMS implementation experience
- Strategic Planning
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Effective communication and facilitation skills
- Leadership Skills
- Data Analysis & Problem Solving
- Ability to Influence and act with a high sense of urgency and prioritization.
