Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Municipal Design Engineer with a passion for public infrastructure and a commitment to excellence. In this hybrid role, you will work alongside a dynamic team of engineers and planners to design and implement municipal projects that make a positive impact on communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and utilities.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure design meets project goals and specifications.
- Conduct field investigations and assessments to support project development.
- Prepare technical reports, plans, and specifications.
- Assist in project budgeting and scheduling.
- Support permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in municipal design engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
