Municipal Sales Representative

Fonroche Lighting America is a quickly growing manufacturer of autonomous solar powered street lighting for municipalities, developers, and commercial facilities.

Should you join Fonroche, you will be joining a team in the midst of changing the way street and area lighting is done to autonomous solar - a renewable energy solution that is more simple, more cost effective, and more reliable way than installing a bunch of expensive wire and conduit connected to the electric grid.

Our customers are municipality decision makers for outdoor street, trail, park, and parking lot lighting.

The Municipal Sales Representative is responsible for opening doors with municipalities through cold calls, emails, social media outreach, etc. The position is based out of our Sales and Engineering office in San Antonio, TX.

Your exceptional communication skills will assist you in developing successful relationships with customers, partners, vendors, contractors, and internal team members. You will continuously evaluate the marketplace and what customers care in efforts towards customer standardization on Fonroche.

This position is focused primarily on developing direct business with municipalities. You will go beyond sales management and serve as a client manager, building relationships with your municipality accounts. You will also be the point person for internal/external communications and organization, connecting our clients with our technical staff.

Municipal Sales Rep Responsibilities:

  • Cold calls and emails to set web calls and in-person meetings
  • Support the sales team
  • Manage Fonroche project opportunities from discovery though completion
  • Maintain CRM for forecasting, collaboration, and reporting
  • Present product capabilities and benefits
  • Become proficient in key principles of solar lighting used for analysis and proposals
  • Meet with customers in person

Municipal Sales Rep Requirements:

  • Any Degree; Personality is key
  • Successful track record in B2B Sales.
  • Team Player is key
  • Proficiency in standard computer systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Ability to achieve targets.
  • **Ability to travel a must**
