Department: Shipping & Receiving / Production
Qualifications Required:
Ability to operate and control functions of forklifts in an efficient and safe manner.
Must be able to ensure winders and palletizers are stocked so there are no unwarranted gaps to the customer or slows down production.
Requires proficient hand and eye coordination, physical ability, keen visual perception and good communication skills.
Must have demonstrated forklift skills.
Duties (brief listing):
Responsible to correct and / or report all unsafe conditions immediately.
Familiarize and interpret production schedule daily to enable accurate and efficient execution of changeovers and can cuts. Responsible to check specification number on each skid prior to loading onto the palletizer / de-palletizer conveyors.
Make sure the lines are set up with the proper materials for the current and next scheduled operating shift. Clean up all fallen cans during and prior to the conclusion of your shift. Responsible for overall housekeeping and appearance of warehouse and main aisles.
Responsible for housekeeping around the shipping areas.
Properly handle, sort and / or segregate and contain suspect product. Follow all prescribed reject procedures including ticket placement and information. Band empty raw material pallets the pallets must be straight and tightly banded.
Fill customer's metal end storage area.
Assist with the glue tank filling process.
Load / unload trailers as necessary.
Counting inventory as necessary must be accurate.
Work effectively and efficiently to accomplish all tasks / responsibilities. Teamwork is a must!
Train co-workers and new hires as needed or as directed.
Uphold and protect all Product Safety guidelines.
