Job Description:
IT Helpdesk Support provides both remote & onsite PC and Network support for the organization, which includes multiple locations, following standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. He or she helps users by answering questions and solving problems in a prompt and supportive fashion.The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in an IT support/help desk role. Network certification a plus. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong problem-solving skills.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and softwareResolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or remotelySetup new computers and devices such as printers, scanners, etc.Preform basic tasks such as setting up user accounts, email accounts, joining computers to an Active Directory domainTrack customer issues and resolutionsQualifications:Previous experience in IT, customer service, and/or other related fieldsBasic understanding of DNS, DHCP, Basic Routing, Active Directory, VPNs and FirewallsAbility to troubleshoot and think on your feetAbility to multi-taskStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsA+, NET+ (or equivalent experience) are requiredMCP/MCSE is a huge plus, but not required Excellent customer services skills are a must!Schedule: Monday-Friday*; 8am-5pm (some flexibility; actual hours may vary to ensure coverage and completed tasks)*Weekend work is rare, but may be required in the event of an emergency or an unexpected/planned outage.
