- Apply mechanical knowledge to fabricate and assemble mechanical parts according to blueprints, technical instructions, and relevant specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assembly tasks.
- Make decisions regarding fitting and adjustment of parts within established guidelines to achieve required configuration and correct functional criteria.
- Perform quality checks to ensure that all assembled parts meet the required specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient assembly and testing.
- Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
- Operate forklifts and overhead crane for material handling.
- Properly document work completed via a product traveler.
- Work with limited supervision and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns regarding the assembly process.
- Comply with all company policies and perform work in a safe manner.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience required in mechanical assembly or a related field.
- Two-year technical degree preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical principles and the ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, datasheets, and complex schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent work ethic and integrity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Experience with welding, brazing, or other assembly techniques is a plus.
