Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Job DescriptionWorking out of the Office of Ambulatory Care and Population Health, the MyChart Support Specialist is a key member of the Ambulatory Care Practice Transformation Team. They will support efforts to engage patient and staff in all matters relating to MyChart usage.MyChart is an online platform that offers patients personalized and secure access to portions of their medical records. It enables patients to securely use the internet to help manage and receive information about their health (i.e. test results, prescription renewals, care team communication, and appointment scheduling).General tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Explains the functionality and processes associated with MyChart to patients, providers and staff
  • Assists in the preparation and distribution of informational materials on MyChart
  • Identifies key performance metrics for MyChart utilization and performance; implements strategies to improve performance across departments
  • Collects patient feedback and reports concerns on MyChart user experience
  • Recommends opportunities for MyChart improvement and growth to Central Office leadership
  • Maintains and distributes reports to keep key stakeholders informed on current status of MyChart utilization and progress of improvement strategies
  • Provides training to end users on specific MyChart functionalities, in both personalized and group settings.
  • Keeps records of technical issues affecting MyChart functionality and works alongside EITS to confirm resolutions.
  • Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsFor Appointment to Level I 1. One year of full-time experience in a government agency or community organization in providing community services to the public or in assisting members of the community in obtaining community services; or 2. Completion of an approved six month training program of combined classroom training and on-the-job experience in community liaison work, plus six months of full-time experience as described in 1 above. For Appointment to Level II In addition to meeting the qualification requirements of Assignment Level I, appointment to Level II requires: 1. Two additional years of full-time experience in counseling, community work or community health activities in a government agency or community organization engaged in providing community services to the public, assisting members of the community in obtaining community services or maintaining liaison with schools, community organizations or other government agencies for the purpose of providing assistance and obtaining participation and support for implementation of community or public service programs; or 2. Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 above. Study at an accredited college in sociology, psychology or other behavioral science may be substituted on the basis of 30 semester credits for each year of the experience described above. However, all persons must have at least one year of the full-time experience described above. For Appointment to Level III In addition to meeting the qualification requirements of Assignment Level II, appointment to Level III requires: 1. One additional year of full-time experience as described in 1 above. For Appointment to Level IV In addition to meeting the qualification requirements for Assignment Level III, appointment to Level IV requires: 1. One additional year of full-time experience.Department Preferences

  • Must have strong social skills dealing with a diverse mixture of personalities.
  • Must have experience utilizing web-based applications in a professional environment.
  • Must project a high level of energy and enthusiasm to patients.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Some healthcare experience working with patients.
  • Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
