Salary Range: $15.14 - $17.90 per hourSUMMARY: Operates nail packing line to make a variety of products. Packs product in appropriate boxes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works from verbal instructions and work orders to operate nail packing line to package a variety of nails according topre-established procedures.Uses forklift to transport tubs, return to stock, and move complete skids to storage area and other duties such as moving materials to machine for loading.Assists the Nail Operator/Fixer operating nail machines by checking product, assuring bins are changed out on the machines, and staging wire on the machines. Will restart the machines after change outs.Electronically issues material, and monitors to ensure conformance to work order specifications.Packs nails into boxes and wraps for shipment.Electronically records pertinent information following established procedures including re-issuing unused material and returning to storage area.Follows all safety and housekeeping rules, policies and procedures. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a work order and work instructions.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to count, add and subtract.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: NonePHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Vision abilities required include close vision to read work orders and material tags, and check material for conformance to specifications. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Assistance is available for very heavy lifting or moving stumps weighing well over 50 pounds.
