Description:Position Title: Aquatics SupervisorDepartment: Aquatics Reports To: Operations ManagerStatus: Seasonal, Non-ExemptSummary of Duties:Run the overall Aquatics operation, directly overseeing the Lifeguards, Team Leads and Instructors. Essential responsibilities include enforcement of Aquatic Risk Management program standards, Standard Operating Procedures, hiring, training, auditing, down event management. Lifeguard and operate various attractions following the Aquatic Risk Management Program and Standard Operating Procedures while providing Guest Excellence and maintaining safe practices. Job Responsibilities:•Exhibit professional demeanor and model behaviors at all times•Recruit and assist in hiring of Lifeguards, Team Leads and Instructors•Train and develop Lifeguards, Team Leads and Instructors, coaching as necessary•Ensure compliance with all authorities having jurisdiction, including Aquatic Risk Management Provider•Ensure adequate daily staffing levels and adherence to daily operational schedules for assigned area•Oversee breaks and ensure compliance with labor laws for assigned area•Typically perform as Aquatics on Duty, maintaining constant presence in park•Act as the communication liaison between departments, management and front line as applicable to Aquatics•Ensure open ready condition property wide each operating day prior to waterpark opening hour•Ensure Water Quality Standard Operating Procedures are met daily•Ensure overall inventory levels are maintained for consumables, communicating to Operations Manager as items run low•Ensure execution of Aquatic Risk Management program standards, Standard Operating Procedures and Guest Excellence behaviors •Respond to atypical situations, Guest issues and down events as needed•Complete required daily, weekly, monthly documentation•All responsibilities notated in the job descriptions of a Lifeguard, Team Lead and Instructor•Protect company assets through proper use of tools and equipment and the adherence to the standard of overall cleanliness and organization of work areas.•Other duties as needed and/or assigned by Leadership. Job Requirements:•Must be at least 16 years of age. If under 18 years of age, must be able to provide working papers prior to hire.•Previous experience as a Lifeguard required. •Must be able to obtain an Instructor Certification through Aquatic Risk Management provider and be available for the majority of Lifeguard Training Courses. •Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. •Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to efficiently manage time and work without direct supervision. •Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist and reach above shoulders.•Ability to work in an environment with high levels of noise and vibrations. •Ability to work in high stress situations. •Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.•Must have reliable transportation.
