General Purpose and Scope of Position:The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for growing the business within their designated region. The RSM is responsible for managing and developing all sales and marketing activities within the assigned region. Assurance of alignment with corporate goals and initiatives is critical. The RSM will effectively manage their region, ensuring that sales budgets, cost centers, and forecasts are well-planned and completed on time.Key Skills and Abilities Include:Bachelor's degreeMinimum of 10 years of demonstrated sales experience in the agricultural industryMinimum of 5 years of experience leading and developing successful sales teamsKnowledge and experience selling plant nutrition, precision liquid in-furrow starters, folio fertilizers, and micronutrients preferredCommitment to performance development with direct reportsPrevious experience managing budgets and sales forecastsCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and OutlookKey Personal Attributes Include:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and highly organizedSpecific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Responsible for developing, overseeing, and executing accurate sales and expense budgetsDevelop and oversee the execution of the sales and marketing planResponsible for growing the sales volume in the regionManage and coordinate the sales efforts of the various sales positions in the regionLead and motivate direct reports to achieve and exceed sales budgetsParticipate in annual strategic planning and budgeting processResponsible for the operation of terminals within the region, including inventory managementResponsible for training and personal development of all direct reportsManage accounts receivable as required to keep receivables currentCompensation and Benefits:In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $118,300 to $165,600. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
