This Operations & Construction position offers a blend of project management, team leadership, oversight of the trades, domestic travel, and real estate strategy. As a senior member of our team, you will oversee the rehab & operations of our multifamily assets, with a portfolio of your own in the range of 4,000 - 5,000 units. Projects will vary from property to property, but typical repositioning scope will include building envelope improvements, interior unit remodeling, bathroom/ bedroom/ washer-dryer additions, clubhouse renovations, utility conversions/upgrades, landscaping & amenity improvements, etc. In this capacity, the National Operations & Construction Manager will ultimately oversee a large in-house staff as well as the relationship management and oversight of subcontractors.
Requirements:
* A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar field
* A minimum of 5-years professional experience in construction management and/or redevelopment of real estate
* Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, lead, and develop talent
* Proficiency in all aspects of Project Management estimating, scheduling, permitting, contract management, expense control, etc.
* Strong business acumen, strong financial acumen, and demonstrated negotiating skills
* Hands-on experience working in the trades
* Relocation to MA or the ability to travel from a major US airport
* Experience in energy studies/utility conservation is a plus
