Job Description:

DESCRIBE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

The captioned positions overall responsibility is to provide timely and efficient support for the Nikon Inc. Service Department and Nikon affiliates in Americas. The role must accomplish their essential functions and assigned objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, and pricing and service. Specifically, the position will forecast and purchase parts and tools from Japan for Imaging and SRO for Service and Refurbishing from Headquarters and any other special orders. Process vendors and subsidiaries orders. Keep management and Customer Relations apprised of all ongoing activities and any issues that may arise.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Maintain inventory control over parts and tools.
  • Order parts and tools to ensure adequate supply levels are maintained.
  • Make necessary adjustment to correct parts and tools count.
  • Purchase parts weekly or create an urgent PO if special orders required.
  • Process Service and Refurbishing vendors and subsidiaries orders and special requests.
  • Keep detailed records and reports pertaining to parts, tools and orders. Investigate and locate missing parts and tools.
  • Monitor orders to anticipate late deliveries and escalate deficiencies to the management.
  • Verify items received against purchase orders.
  • Respond to customer requests, Parts and tools related inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist/Train vendors for parts and tools inventory control and processing.
  • Provide detailed reporting on request.
  • Maintain material master and pricing for parts and tools.
  • Utilize available IT solutions and others to create efficiencies.

Ancillary responsibilities:

  • All other duties as required or needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and other meeting platforms
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Function well in a high-paced team environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Attention to detail, sense of urgency and results driven
  • Ability to work outside of normal hours of operations as needed in order to fulfill essential job functions and responsibilities
  • Ability to travel up to 5% (Includes overnight travel)

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree or higher preferred
  • 3+ years' previous Inventory Control/Administration experience
