Description PURPOSE STATEMENTThe National Sales Manager position will be accountable for achieving the company's sales volume and profit objectives in the designated region. The position will be responsible for all channels of trade, Foodservice, Retail, and Industrial. Include managing Regional Brokers, existing accounts, and the securing of new business. Some overnight travel will be required; up to 50%. This position is located at Grassland Dairy Corporate Office in Greenwood WI.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
- Achieve Company Sales and margin targets as directed by VP of Sales.
- Ensure current customer sales volume is at its maximum, maintaining product mix, and selling price.
- Cover Retail/Foodservice/Industrial accounts. Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
- Maintain strong, solid relationships with the customer. Develop relationships with the primary contact and the hierarchy he/she reports to.
- Broker management. Meet with Broker on regular basis to review performance, assign task and strategize for future activities. Conduct annual reviews of market with broker.
- Responsible for execution acquired sales throughout corporate departments.
- Keep current with demand and supply of company's products/services, economic indicators, changing trends and its competitors
- Consistent and thorough utilization of system tools
- Cold-calling, generating new leads and prospecting accounts
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree required (in business management, finance, economics or marketing preferred), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of successful sales experience of products.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Solid written and verbal communications skills to include strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability in multi-tasking/problem solving/trouble shooting.
- Exceptionally self-disciplined and organized.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to Commute or Relocate before starting work
