Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Jersey City site is looking for a new National Vendor Qualification Specialist to join our Contract Logistics team.Your RoleIn this role you will coordinate and supervise the Supplier & Carrier Qualification and Onboarding team, to ensure that suppliers are evaluated based on their ability to provide quality service, which is in line with Kuehne + Nagel's QSHE, Finance and Compliance Supplier Code of Conduct requirements.Your Responsibilities* Maintain critical documentation in RMIS, CMS, and SMT ensuring supplier status is up to date.* Actively engagement with BU/FU Stakeholders and end-users to ensure business disruptions due to supplier management issues are kept to a minimum.* Establish and maintain Governance & Policies for Supplier Qualification* Fostering strong relations with national leadership team, Procurement BU/FU stakeholders & suppliers* Manage risks to support business continuity* Reject or approve qualification questionnaires / applications based on review or responses and submissions.* Trigger escalations to Business Unit, Compliance and QSHE Managers when appropriate.* Active suspension or activation of vendor codes within ACON financial system.* Maintain key supplier relationship SRMYour Skills and Experiences* A degree in Supply chain Management or equivalent work experience* 5+ years in a supply chain or warehousing environment* 3-5 years of experience with vendor verification or onboarding* 3+ years of experience using tools such as SMT, RMIS, Supplier Portal, TCF, KNVM, and ACON* Working knowledge of QSHE and finance processes* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook) is preferredGood Reasons to JoinThere has never been a better time to work in logistics.
