Want to join something GREAT and make a difference?The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our South Puget Sound Region. We are currently seeking a Natural Resource Camp Manager. The Natural Resource Camp Manager's responsibilities include management of all functions and staff related to the DNR Camp at Cedar Creek Corrections Center. This position fosters positive working relationships among the Department of Corrections, Region Fire Staff, State Lands Staff, Tribes, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, State Parks, Washington State Department of Ecology, Conservation Districts, and others. The position represents the Department's interests in private operations, business, government officials, and the public where there are complex and sensitive issues, providing input and recommending actions. The highest priority for this position is to create a culture of safety in the camp operation. The position is responsible for both professional and technical staff including hiring, training, and corrective action. The position is accountable for achieving all program deliverables, managing the camps program region budget, coordinating with appropriate Wildfire Division staff regarding program implementation, and resolving issues in support of DNR's mission and guiding principles. They also work closely with the other Camp Managers and the Camp's Program Manager.
