Position Summary
This position is responsible for the management of the Wastewater programs including: facility planning, wastewater discharge permits (WPDES), Total Maximum Daily Load implementation planning and execution, land spreading of industrial waste and septage, calculation of effluent limits and inspections for wastewater compliance. The position ensures integration of the Wastewater activities and policies with other programs. The position plays a key role in developing and implementing statewide policy by serving on Wastewater Policy Management Team (PMT) and the Water Quality Board.

Salary Information
The Natural Resource Basin Supervisor salary is between $43.00 - $50.00 / hour ($89,440.00 - $ 104,000.00) depending on qualifications. Plus, excellent benefits.
The classification is Natural Resource Basin Supervisor which is in schedule-range 81 - 02. Pay on appointment will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.

Travel: This is one of five positions statewide with responsibility as a Wastewater Field Supervisor. The position is located in Fitchburg and works across the South Central District. Travel within the assigned area will be frequent, with periodic travel to staff office locations and to Central Office in Madison.
Qualifications

Minimally qualified candidates will have each of the following qualifications:

* Natural resources project management or policy development (e.g., developing and implementing projects, monitoring, evaluating and analyzing results, etc.)
* Working in a water related field (e.g., water resources, ground water, drinking water, wastewater, hydrogeology, etc.)
In addition, highly qualified candidates will have at least one of the following qualifications:
* Supervising a team in a formal position (e.g., hiring, dismissing, evaluating performance, discipline, etc.)
* Working in a Wastewater field (e.g., wastewater facility design, operation, or regulation, etc.)
