Nonprofit is looking to hire an ambitious, team player to join our Navigation Specialist team. This position is an important piece of our program and requires great organization and communication skills. Recent college grads encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Screening all patient calls for eligibility and referring if not eligible
- Calling on assigned referrals for new patients
- Responsible for scheduling and completing patient intake appointments to apply for program
- Compiles and submits completed patient application for review and enrollment in program
- Thoroughly documenting all patient information and interactions into KAPA's patient computer program
- Completes Federal training as a Certified Application Counselor for the Health Insurance Marketplace and licensed with the State of Tennessee
- Responsible for completing all required continuing education and training on an annual basis
- Provides reminder calls for intake appointments
- Updating provider offices regarding referral status
- Mails patient re-enrollment letter and ensures patient has all required documentation for re-enrollment in program
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding enrollment goals
- Participation in specialty projects as necessary
Requirements:
- Passion for helping others
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Prior healthcare or insurance knowledge a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
