Affinity group for women (dependent on location) On the job training Responsibilities Perform nondestructive inspection of welds under the guidelines of ASNT SNT-TC-1A and Section V of the ASME Code. Meet all necessary requirements to hold Certification for Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Visual Testing (VT) in accordance with Samuel Pressure Vessel Group Written Practice SPVG-WP-1. Accumulate and record Nondestructive Inspection hours. Inspect and record nondestructive results in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A, Section V of the ASME code, applicable nondestructive testing procedures and Samuel Pressure Vessel Group Written Practice SPVG-WP-1. Perform and record in process inspections throughout Samuel. Interface effectively with the operations (floor and office) Department, the Materials Management Department, the Marketing Services Department, as well as other Quality Assurance Personnel, to clearly and communicate the quality status of jobs. Operate proper measuring and test equipment in accordance with departmental procedures. Perform and record necessary nondestructive tests throughout Samuel, including visual, magnetic particle, and visible dye penetrant. Properly utilize the non-conforming product systems. Initiate, or help floor personnel initiate, corrective measures through established systems. Assist Quality Assurance Manager and in special projects or systems development. Monitoring and enforcement of the Quality Control Manual, sessions, and other relevant procedures. Assist in the maintenance of the calibration process and assist in performing calibration activities on measuring and test equipment, as described calibration specialist. Perform random inspection activities at a frequency determined by the Quality Assurance Manager. Investigate and Document possible root causes of in process deficiencies and propose preventative measures to eliminate the deficiencies. Perform scheduling, execution, developing, and interpretation of required nondestructive examinations. Preserve and maintain nondestructive testing results and report the results to the appropriate management representatives. Education and Certifications Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment. Qualifications Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations. Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures. Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job. Must have a basic understanding of computers. Must have reading, writing and simple math skills. Must be able to read blueprints. Good communication skills. Professionalism and respect always with internal and external customers. Uphold in calibration components of the ISO, and ASME, and other applicable code to assure compliance of product manufacture at this location.
