Spirit AeroSystems focuses on affordable, innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions to support customers around the globe.ResponsibilitiesLocation: Kinston, NC - RELOCATION assistance available for those that qualifyResponsible for using analysis techniques to evaluate the properties of materials, components, or systems without causing damageUtilize Non-Destructive inspection methods (liquid penetrate, ultrasonic, pulse echo, and immersion) to verify parts and processes are in compliance with customer engineering requirementsSet-up and standardize NDI equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document resultsEstablish techniques from approved general procedure or work instructions for final approvalConduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standardsProvide necessary guidance and/or supervision to traineesPerform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process, and proceduresInterpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control NDT methodsAssume technical responsibility for the NDT facility, equipment, and staffPrepare, verify, and approve procedures and work instruction for technical adequacyProvide training, examination, and certification of personnelPerform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process, and proceduresQualificationsMS Office Suite skillsMinimum 5 years' related experienceAerospace Industry experienceNAS 410 NDI level 2 or level 3 certification (must be able to provide documented proof) or DD219 formMust possess the ability to achieve NAS 410 NDT Level II qualificationMust have the ability to work any shift, including alternative work weeksCertificate from tech SchoolEvidence of 800 OJT hours in UTPreferred QualificationsStrong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detailAssociates Degree or higher in NDI or NDT field (equivalent experience considered)Ultrasonic experienceSpirit AeroSystems is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected factor under federal, state, or local law#J-18808-Ljbffr
