Learn more at www.ipgmediabrands.com.Position OverviewThe Negotiator, Video Partnerships role at Initiative is responsible for managing client's video investments as well as assisting in the creation and execution of media strategies and effectively communicating these strategies to clients. The position requires the ability to think big picture and is the first step towards management. A high level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work under pressure is required.ResponsibilitiesResponsive to client requests including research reports, preparing schedules, buying highlightsAssist in preparing deck slides for client buy presentationsTrain and manage the workloads of Associates, Video Partnerships, and review documents and reports prepared by themAssist in Upfront negotiations and execute scatter needsHelp with the evaluation of media plans of National TV linear as well as alternative video including OTT, cinema, online video, video on demand (VOD)Place, confirm and monitor media holds/orders; Screen content per client buying guidelinesExecute smooth day-to-day account activities: Enter buys into MBOX and ensure system reflects accurate buys, update buy summary documents, monitor network buys daily based on audience delivery data to ensure delivery in flightSecure necessary Audience Deficiency Unit (ADU) weightPull research reports as needed including Rankers, Dimensions, overnightsNegotiate pricing that reflects efficiencies and clients' objectivesRequired Skills and ExperienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid negotiating skills and experience collaborating with Strategy and Communications Design teamsProficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and WordKnowledgeable in media mathProficient with MBox or equivalent Inventory Management systemInitiative does not require candidates to have a college degreeDesired Skills and ExperienceAble to work as part of a team in a deadline-driven, high-pressure environment2+ years of Media experience.
