Job Description * Assists in the development, installation and maintenance of data and voice network communications. Utilizes knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. Tests and evaluates data and voice network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Implements, maintains and audits network based security safeguards. Maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues. Assists in developing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan. Selects and recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to end users as needed.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, PRODUCTION SUPPORT: Configures and installs project and regional office wired and wireless networks in coordination with the project setup coordinator. Recommends network and voice communications hardware and software standards Configures and installs data network hardware. Performs regular maintenance and upgrades to maintain prescribed SLAs. Maintains project schedules relating to network technology deployments. Maintains network security practices and prescribes security monitoring procedures. Installs and configures IP voice communications hardware/software. Participates in bi-monthly off-hour scheduled maintenance windows.
