Job Summary:* Oversee the day-to-day administration of Sheridan's computer hardware, software and network systems. Provide technical support to end users and help to implement IT projects and technology initiatives to the business. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MFA and other user technologies
- Provide end user support and assist with help desk requests
- Deliver efficiencies by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
- Strong TCP/IP knowledge and OSI model
- Manage virtual server infrastructure using VMware vSphere technology
- Manage Veeam Backups, Replication and Snapshot technology
- Troubleshoot, analyze and investigate LAN/WAN, ISP and VPN related issues
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server and Email accounts for Sheridan users
- Troubleshoot mail-flow and email connectivity issues
- Manage Microsoft SQL, IIS and related Microsoft services
- Maintain various infrastructure hardware including UPS, fiber optic, TOR switches, core Switches and routers
- Manage threat protection services (Anti-Spam Filters, Virus Protection, etc.)
- Develop network and system support documentation
Basic Qualifications:
- 2-year degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of experience working with network operations and system administration
- Strong knowledge and experience with PC hardware and software technology
- Working knowledge of MS Windows 2008 and higher
- Experience in administering, installing and managing servers and clients
- Knowledge of backing up systems and customer data
- Practical knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning
- Performance monitoring, system tuning, and capacity planning experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to be flexible with schedule and ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Technical certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, Security+, A+ and Network+
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
