Job Type Full-time Description Lalor Family Dental is a growing, multi-office dental practice bringing over 60 years of experience in the dental field. Looking for career-focused individuals with positive attitudes and customer service centered mindset. Our company is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems. This position is ON-SITE (no remote option available)Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network solutions, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular network assessments and implement upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate new technologies securely.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Ensure network security through effective firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security protocols.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security risks.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations to mitigate risks.
- Provide support for network-related incidents and user requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator, with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with firewall management, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, CIS).
- Familiarity with HIPPA regulations and Zero-Trust Networking
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
